Stage Manager
Stage Management was the second thing in the theatre Demi tried after acting. Being behind the desk next to the director is just as fulfilling for her as being on the stage.
Experience
Stage Manager – The Young Company at GBSC
(Summer 2021, Winter 2022 and 2024)
Demi has stage managed the Young Company’s productions of A Wrinkle in Time, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, and James and the Giant Peach. She has also stage managed their 24-hour musical Beauty & the Beast, which was a wonderful whirlwind for her to practice the skills she has acquired in her previous projects.
Education/Stage Management Intern – Greater Boston Stage Company
(Summer 2019)
Demi was the stage manager for the Young Company at GBSC’s production of Curtains the musical. She learned how to handle paperwork like rehearsal reports, props tracking, and presets. She also operated lights and sound during the run of the show.
Haunted Circus – Student Theatre Ensemble
(Fall 2019)
Demi stage managed the haunted house event for the Student Theatre Ensemble. She scheduled and planned each night of rehearsal and kept the short rehearsal process on track.
Haunted Asylum – Student Theatre Ensemble
(Fall 2018)
She also stage managed the first haunted house event the previous year. She kept track of the rehearsal schedule that she organized around the actors and directors. She also facilitated communication between the event production team, committee, student board, and student government for the duration of the project.
